Showing in Open Houses
Being a painter is the main part of my work as an artist. However there are many other things I do.
I am influenced by the world around me I love buildings and their relationship to their natural surroundings.
Detailed drawings washed with watercolour are my main subjects. Currently, I am working towards an exhibition at Scampston walled garden in north Yorkshire, the theme is “Glasshouses of Yorkshire.” So everything from derelict allotment greenhouses to the shopping palaces in Leeds.
Come and see paintings of Saltaire and many other places you may know.
Colour and pattern in the natural world inspires me. I love textiles and work in a creative and enthusiastic way with a variety of materials. Wonderful and surprising artworks are the result!
Last but not least.....I love haberdashery.... what more does a girl need? I have been busy making fabulous bunting, bias binding and delightful covered buttons.
Come up to the third floor in the Butterfly Rooms you will not be disappointed...a warm welcome awaits you and I can guarantee enthusiasm and creativity!
