Reclaimed sea Oak, this sculpture was carved from wood I saved from the river Mersey in 2014. the piece has been hand carved into a bench that takes the form of Whales tail, the form it self-has recesses to emulate the skin of the whale. the piece was carved to bring back life to wood that would have just drifted for years. my job as artist and sculptor is to create form within the wood that has already been shaped by nature.
