Jessica Irena Smith is an award-winning cast and kiln-formed glass artist. She has a BA in Glass & Ceramics and an MA in Glass, both from the University of Sunderland, where she spent over 5 years learning her craft at the National Glass Centre. After graduating, she set up her studio with the help of an Arts Council grant, and is currently represented by galleries throughout the UK, as well as selling online and working to commission.
Jessica's work has been short-listed for a number of awards, including the 2012 British Glass Biennale and three times for the DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year (2011, 2013 & 2014). She's shown at galleries including the Mall Galleries and Saatchi Gallery, London, her work combining traditional making techniques with more contemporary elements to produce a diverse range, all created with the same level of craftsmanship and eye for detail.
