My practice is investigative in its nature and form, moving between object, process, event and performance. I don’t ‘create’ objects but work with already existing materials to collapse the distance between art and the mundane, exploring the poetic and absurd potential of the everyday.
‘Pop Goes the Weasel’ is a playful and interactive installation that consists of several brightly coloured, motorised balls. Audience engagement is central to the work, not only in terms of how their physical presence and movement through the space directly impacts on the trajectory of the balls (subverting the relationship between artist, object and audience) but also to generate dialogue and to explore how and why we attribute value and meaning to objects.'
