Wesley Nike

Showing in Open Houses
The Saltaire Picture House, latterly known and the Gaumont, opened in 1922 on the site that has since become the Shell garage. It entertained the people of Saltaire until 1957 when it was demolished.

For the 2017 Saltaire Arts Trail, 40 Caroline street will pay homage as the 'Mini Saltaire Picture House'.

Wesley Nike is an illustrator working for TV and film. He has contributed work to projects such as Luther, Fury, Ss-gb and Thier Finest. He had originally wanted to be a movie poster artist. However the art form died years ago, replaced by photo collage. In this exhibition the idea is to bring back some of the artistic styles of old Hollywood and re create the feeling of a trip to the cinema you may have experienced in your youth. Enjoy the show.
