My inspiration comes from the British landscape and its flora. I use real leaves in contact with the natural fabrics to create botanical ecoprints, in conjunction with natural dyes. Leaves and fabrics are wrapped up together and steamed or immersed in a dye bath and ‘cooked’. An impression is left on the cloth by the foliage. Each piece is unique as a record of a time and place. I create a range of wearable pieces on the finest natural fabrics silk scarves and wool wraps, but also journals and some up-cycled garments, lampshades, ribbons and craft packs.
