Matt Reid

Matt's work combines abstraction, geometry and obscurity through the medium of collage, illustration and print. Made from a vast collection of clippings collected from discarded old magazines, educational material and even litter. Everything is repurposed by hand, planned or by mistake with a quiet appreciative nod toward Fluxus, De Stijl and Dada movements. Sometimes depicting dream-like landscapes, deconstructed faces, iconography and abstract arrangements of forms. Broadly depicting themes around social history, anxiety, drug culture and the depths of society with a subtle but sinister tone.
